REPORT WRITER

• Report Writer allows users to create, edit and print reports in DEXDash.
•  Reports can consist of any data from DEX tables, along with built in functions, calculated values, conditional values and any custom functions you choose to code, and add.

  •  It is possible for you to export a Report from Report Writer into an XML format, and to import such a report again too. 
    • The idea here is to make reports portable. For example, this feature enables you to export a report, send the resulting XML file to a client, and he or she can then import the report into their system with minimal fuss. 
    • In addition, by exporting a report, you ensure that you have a saved copy in case you need to revert back to it for whatever reason. Re-importing an exported report also mimics the copy-paste action
