Data Store Maintenance (ADD - CHANGE - DELETE)
Feature Description
Data Store Maintenance - Add - Change - Delete
- This is the primary feature "action" that facilitates the functionality of:
- Add - Inserting, appending a new record, document to store
- Change - Modify, updating the contents of a selected record, document already in the data store
- Delete - Purge, permanent erasure of a selected individual record, document thereby removing it from the data store.
- The use of the word "record" is synonymous with the word "document" because many forms of digital data stored in DEX are of the type "document". i.e. Word, Spreadsheet, PDF, etc.
Using Pop-up Menu Action Feature
- Right Mouse Click anywhere in the browse list of the Data Store
- The Pop-up Menu appears with the following actions:
- Add - Inserting, appending a new record
- Change - Modify, updating the contents of select record
- Delete - Purge, permanent erasure of a select record
- Special/Favorite - Flag "tag" record as record of importance, i.e. Special, Favorite
- Share - Flag "tag" record as "sharable" with others
- Refresh - refreshes data store browse list contents
- The Pop-up Menu appears with the following actions:

- ADD (Inserting) - can also be performed using Pop-up Action Menu
- click Add button
- new Record - Data Store Form appears
- enter Description (required field)
- enter other pertinent data that is to be stored
- click Green Check button to save data store document
- upper left corner of form
- Change (Modifying/Updating) - can also be performed using Pop-up Action Menu
- select/highlight a Data Store Record in the browse list
- click the Change button
- the Data Store Form appears
- change any data (add, change, delete by clearing the field)
- click Green Check button to save data store document
- upper left corner of form
- Delete (Purging/Erasing) - can also be performed using Pop-up Action Menu
- select/highlight a Data Store Record in the browse list
- click the Delete button
- the record is removed from the data store list
- the data store list is refreshed showing the removal of the record.

WHAT ARE ACTION TABS?
- The purpose of using action tabs is to optimize the organization of reference information to support the overall productivity & efficiency of the user interaction with the data store maintenance function.
- Data Store Maintenance Records support the following Actions Tabs.
