Add Content to Data Store - Use DRAG & DROP
- Drag & Drop New Content, web page links from your default desktop browser here to simply, easily and accurately, and without typing, add new digital content to DEXDash Data Store
- All Digital Data Types can be added to the Data Store using DRAG & DROP including but not limited to the following:
- PDF - Portable Document Format
- Multimedia - Most Common Types
- Video & Audio: .MP4, .AVI, .OGG, .MOV, .WMV, .MP3, .M4A, .FLAC, .MP2, .AC3, .AIFF, .MPG, .AIF
- eMail - Outlook Message Format - Unicode (*.msg)
- Files - with any extension type
- .DOC, .XLS, .HTML, . LNK, .TXT, .JSON, .XML ...
- Images - .BMP, .JPG, .ICO, .PNG, .TIFF ...
- DEXDash Previewer will render the digital data file added to the data store if it can recognize the format based on operating system definitions.
- The previewer feature will only render in the preview panel those files with recognizable extensions based on the operation system.
- Multimedia will be rendered by the DEX Multimedia Player. Standard VCR buttons are supported on the media player to start, stop, forward, backward and play media depending on if its a video or audio (sound) file extension.
"How To" Tutorial - Step-by-Step:
- Drag & Drop New Content in this Area To Easily Add New Content to DEX Data Store
- Select the Web Page Address with the Left Mouse Button then Drag and Drop the Address to DEX
- When Selected Correctly the Address will appear as a magnifying glass image along with the name of the web site. For example "Bing"
- After Dropping the Link the DEX Data Content Manager Form Appears Automatically
- Data Content Reference Confirms Content
- Enter a Description as a reference to describe the record content. In this example "Bing Search Engine" was entered into the Description field
- Click the Green Check to Save Record to Data Store
- Web Page Address (URL) Saved to DEX Data Store
- Newly Saved Content Record Appears in Data Store List
- Previewer Renders Web Page
